Best Hotels of the World Award by National Geographic
National Geographic’s editors, writers, photographers, and explorers research and rate the hotels. Their perspective:
The best hotels offer more than somewhere to lay your head. They connect you to local communities and provide the kind of memory-making activities that tempt you to extend your stay.
“The best views might be from the infinity pool,” according to owner Brent Pelton.
Set high in the hillsides above Charlotte Amalie’s harborfront, the adults-only hotel is a collection of six mid-20th-century buildings decorated with art deco touches and palm tree prints. Stay here for the proximity to the Danish colonial architecture of the capital plus onsite pink rattan swings that’ll look swell in vacation snaps.

We were bestowed the Best USVI Hotel for Couples award by Forbes Magazine. The magazine featured us as one of the Top 8 Hotels in the US Virgin Islands. We are especially honored by this award because we love love!

Top 50 Caribbean Hotels Award by The Times Travel Writer
Nigel Tisdall “I’ve stayed everywhere in the Caribbean — these are the 50 best hotels”
Opened this year on St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, this 28-room, adults-only hotel is a smart base for exploring the cosmopolitan streets of Charlotte Amalie and its engaging legacies from the days when the USVI capital was under Danish rule. It incorporates original features from six 1940s buildings and the mood is “artist’s guesthouse” with retro lamps and furniture, palm-decorated wallpaper and stylish kitchenettes. There’s a pool, harbour views and a tastefully pink restaurant with a terrace serving simple dishes such as watermelon salad and shrimp risotto.
A Top Romantic Restaurant in St Thomas and Top Restaurant in the Caribbean
We were elated when El Barsito, our restaurant, was honored with two awards when we were rated as one of the top restaurants in the Caribbean and one of the top romantic restaurants in St Thomas by Open Table.
